Embracing “55”

When Vicki reached out to me to book her session, I was incredibly excited. She expressed how she was looking for a confidence boost, she had heard about others experiences and wanted to feel that too.
"I am at a stage in my life where I find myself trying to accept and love my body for its beauty and not focusing on the flaws."
Many women come to me with this similar sentiment. Boudoir is an important tool to show us we should love our bodies at every stage we go through, it is for everyone. Any body type, any size, any gender. It's about learning to love your body just as it is.
"I wanted to embrace 55 with confidence knowing age is just a number and does not reflect on being a confident beautiful woman!"
There is this idea that these sessions are just gifts for your husband, which they certainly can be. It's funny the way it works out though, even the sessions that are meant to be gifts end up being for yourself as well. They are incredibly empowering. The entire experience is just a great way to boost your confidence and see yourself through someone else's eyes.

Sometimes just the idea of a photoshoot like this makes women nervous - being nervous is completely normal - but don't let that hold you back. You'll spend more time laughing at my stupid ass than worrying about being completely naked in front of the camera.

I'm passionate about helping women like Vicki feel empowered in their own skin, just as they are. It's never too late to learn to love yourself. Being a boudoir photographer almost feels like a super power. I get to show women just how wonderful they are through my eyes, and sometimes for the first time in their lives.. they believe it.
