Terms and Conditions.

ALL sessions require a NON-REFUNDABLE retainer to book and reserve your session. This retainer is not transferable, nor refundable if the client cancels the session for any reason. Client is responsible to pay for airfare, hotel stay, transportation, and incidentals if session is held outside of West Tennessee. Payment is due in FULL at the time photographic services are rendered.

Reschedule Policy: If you must reschedule your session for any reason other than weather, session must be rescheduled immediately or another deposit will be required to secure the session date. In the case that the client does not show for a scheduled session, the deposit amount will be forfeited. Therefore it cannot be used to reschedule the missed session. There will also be a no-show fee of $50 charged to the card on file. If the client decides to reschedule the no-show session, payment will be required in full at the time of booking.

Children under the age of 18 are not allowed in studio sessions. If you show up to your portrait session with children, you will be required to reschedule and pay a fee to do so. This is a simple liability issue.

Sessions may be subject to rescheduling due to weather. Photographer will make wise judgments and will take your best interest in mind when determining weather.

Photographer prefers clean, natural images showing the persons true self, therefore she does not retouch extensively. A blemish here or there may be touched up. It is up to the client to disclose any birthmarks, beauty marks, moles, warts, scars, etc. If this is not disclosed before the editing process, a fee will be charged to re-edit the images. 

You will receive a “print release” with any digital images purchased from SamSlay Photography. This release allows for the possessor to print images at a location of their choice for personal use ONLY. Some printers are NOT PERMITTED in the print release. This includes but it not limited to: Walgreens, Wal-Mart, and Shutterfly. Printing is strongly suggested through MPix.com and Nations Photo Lab. Images MAY NOT be used or submitted to any contests of any kind. Client agrees to read and abide by the rules stated in the limited copyright release. Any violations of the copyright protection laws are punishable by law and SamSlay Photography does enforce any violation. In hiring photographer, you are choosing her for her creative and personal style.

Please DO NOT expect photographer to shoot in any other way than that of which you have seen unless photographer states otherwise. Unedited images will NOT be given to the client or third party under any circumstance. Images received from SamSlay Photography MAY NOT BE EDITED OR ALTERED FROM THEIR ORIGINAL VERSION IN ANY WAY. This includes but is not limited to: turning color images to black and white, adding text, cropping, or color accenting. Photos reflect on the artist, not the client. All images shot by SamSlay Photography are property of the photographer. All session sneak peeks (if any) are posted online unless client gives written notification prior to your photo session to photographer stating they do not wish for images to be posted. 

Post processing time is generally 3 weeks, but may be as long as 4-7 weeks. As soon as your images are complete, you will be notified via email or text message. In the extreme case that photos are lost due to corruption or equipment failure, SamSlay Photography is NOT held responsible for lost photos. Session may be rescheduled. Following your session with SamSlay Photography, your session gallery will be kept on file for ONE YEAR. After this year your session will no longer be available. These will be available for purchase at that time. 

Although SamSlay Photography strives for 100% customer satisfaction, photographer makes no guarantees to image quality or specific shots or poses. Every session is unique by location, setting, light and situation. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. If for any reason at any time the photographer finds reason to terminate this contract you will receive a refund of your session fee.
