The End of an Era..
It has been an absolute dream having a studio in Downtown Trenton, the town where I grew up. In the past three years, this has been a safe space for so many. So much blood, sweat, and tears have been poured into this space. Newlyweds have relived their wedding days and celebrated their marriages here, women have rebuilt themselves and regained lost confidence. AND OH, THE PARTIES we have had. Our Girls Night Out events with Silk were THE BEST. I'll miss those the most. The biggest thank you goes out to each and every single person who helped make this place what it was.
These images are from the last days of shooting at my downtown studio. I have decided to take a step back from owning a studio to go back to shooting on-location. What does this mean? Am I quitting photography? NO, I absolutely am not! SamSlay Photography lives on. The only thing this changes is the fact that I will not have a physical "studio". I will still be shooting family sessions, weddings, AND yes, boudoir. Boudoir sessions will now be hosted at airbnb’s, venues, etc. This is the way things were before I opened my very first studio in my home. This will give me back the freedom to be more creative and to offer a wider variety of your favorite.. mini-sessions
